
Mohammad Sharifani is an Iranian scholar and researcher actively engaged in the fields of Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic philosophy, education, and Nahjul Balaghah studies. He pursued Islamic studies at Ḥawzah ‘Ilmiyyah Qom (1974–1984), Islamic philosophy at the Imam Khomeini Institute (1984–1994), and earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education from Shiraz University (2008). Before serving as the Director of the Islamic Cultural Center (ICC) Jakarta, he was a Professor of Islamic Thought at Allameh Tabataba’i University, Tehran, and a special representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran at Azad University. He has authored more than 100 books and dozens of scholarly articles in the fields of philosophy, Qur’anic interpretation, and Islamic spirituality. His areas of expertise include Hikmah Muta‘āliyyah (the Transcendent Philosophy of Mulla Sadra), thematic Qur’anic exegesis, and Islamic psychology. Sharifani is also widely recognized as an international speaker and academic supervisor for numerous doctoral students.
