
Nurman Hakim is a film director and a permanent faculty member at the Faculty of Film and Television, Jakarta Institute of Arts (IKJ). He holds a Doctorate in Film Anthropology from the University of Indonesia. He has directed four feature films — 3 Doa 3 Cinta, Khalifah, The Window, and Bid’ah Cinta — all of which were selected for various international film festivals. In addition to filmmaking, he writes essays on film, art, and culture for several national media outlets. His book, Film, Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Film, Humanity, and Culture), was published by IKJ Press.
