
Repelita Wahyu Oetomo (born in Jember, February 5, 1969) is a Senior Researcher at the Research Center for Prehistoric and Historical Archaeology, BRIN. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from Udayana University and his Master’s in Social Anthropology from Universitas Negeri Medan (2023). Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in archaeological research across Sumatra, including at the Bukit Hasang Barus, Padang Lawas, and Kota Cina sites—many conducted in collaboration with the French research institute EFEO. As the head of research teams in Pasaman and Dharmasraya, he has significantly contributed to the study of Islamic historical archaeology and cultural development in Sumatra. His publications in Berkala Arkeologi Sangkhakala and Archipel highlight transformations in material culture, such as Acehnese gravestones and early Islamic networks in the Indonesian Archipelago.
