
Ammar Fauzi, born in Purwakarta, 1975 is a Muslim scholar specializing in Sufism and Islamic Philosophy. He completed his undergraduate to doctoral studies at Al-Mustafa International University in Iran, where he was also active in Indonesian student organizations in the Middle East. Upon returning to Indonesia, he held several strategic positions, including Director of the Polis Institute, Director of Indonesia BerFilsafat, and Head of the Master’s Program in Islamic Philosophy at STFI Sadra. He also teaches philosophy at Gadjah Mada University, serves as Vice Chair I at STAI Sadra, and is a senior researcher at ICMES.
His works span Islamic mysticism, social philosophy, and political thought, with numerous academic and popular writings accessible on quranika.com. He also initiated the “Children Philosophizing” program to cultivate critical reasoning from an early age. He is currently completing his forthcoming book Agnoseology and Fitrah, while continuing to develop progressive Islamic thought through teaching, research, and intellectual dialogue in various national and international forums.
